How to Perform CRM QB Integration
The setup of Magazine Manager integration with QuickBooks Web Connector has 3 main phases as follows:
- Installing a Desktop Application on the PC running QuickBooks. This application contains the Initial Exporter and the QWC file that Web Connector will connect to so it knows the Web Service URL.
- Configuration of the Web Connector application supplied by QuickBooks.
- Running the Desktop Application to export data to The Magazine Manager or to link QB customer data to Magazine Manager advertisers.
The steps are included in the following pages.
Installing the Desktop Application
Users run the setup file “CRMQBIntegration”
Follow the onscreen instructions and select the destination folder for CRMQBIntegration application. This will install CRMQBIntegration in the PC.

Click “Next” to continue installation or “cancel” to exit setup.
Choose “Browse” button and select path for application installation.
Choose “Everyone” option Button.

Click “Next” button to proceed installation.

Click “Next” button for proceed installation


Click “Close” button to finish the installation.
Running Desktop Application
Go to Start > Programs > CRM QB Integration > Initial Exporter/Linker.

Fill in the provided Magazine Manager Website URL. Also fill in your Magazine Manager User Name and Password and click Test Connection. If the connection test is successful, you will be able to export data directly to The Manager Manager (this can only be done once)…


…or you can click on the No button to export QuickBooks data to a temporary table for linking to Magazine Manager advertisers and account postings.
Note: Please ensure that your Chart of Accounts and Classes are setup the way you wish before performing this step.


Once either is completed, you will be re-directed to The Magazine Manager to view, link or add advertisers to QuickBooks.

Configuration of Web Connector
The following are the guidelines for configuring the web connector in PC side. Click on start -> Programs -> QuickBooks -> Web Connector.
The following window will be open. In this you need to click “Add an application” button.

Here the user needs to select the “CRMQBIntegrationService.qwc” file to add the web service to the QBWC. This file will be available on the application installed path (C:\Program files\Magazine Manager\”).

The following window will be open within QuickBooks.

This application asks permission to register the QuickBooks company file. The following window will appear after clicking “Ok”.

The user need to select above marked places and should click “Continue..”

In this window the user needs to click “Done” button. So this application will access to QuickBooks.

- User need to type their Magazine Manager password into the password text box.
- Select the application which the user going to use.
- Click the “Auto-Run” check box.
- User specify the run time of the web connector. Initially, the user should specify the time. After that the web connector will be automatically update.
- Finally the user clicks on “update Selected” button so the settings will be saved in QBWC and to test the connection to Magazine Manager.
