PreRequisite(s)

  •  Ensure that the Creative Cloud Desktop is Installed
    • Verify that Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop is installed on your local system.
      • NOTE: This is essential for managing and installing plugins.

  • The ‘Adobe InDesign’ software must be up-to-date to ensure the plugins work properly.
  • The setup functions correctly only when used in the Chrome browser.
  • Make sure you have access to ‘Digital Studio’ to use these plugins.

Next, follow the below steps to download and integrate the InDesign plugins:

Step 1: Within Website Setup of the CRM, go to Sitewide Defaults under Company Info

  • Under the Production section, ensure that both the InDesign + Digital Studio Plugin Access and InDesign Plugin for Single Ad InDesign are enabled (check marked).
  • Click on Download the Latest Version of the Plugin link next to each option to download the latest Version of the plugin.
    • NOTE: Please contact your Software Consultant to enable or disable these checkboxes.

Step 2: Allow all pop-ups when downloading the plugin

  • If a pop-up block appears while trying to download the plugin, look for the pop-up blocker message (usually at the top right of your browser).
  • Click Manage and choose the option to Always allow pop-ups and redirects from the specific site.
  • Click Done to confirm the changes.

Step 3: Locating the downloaded plugin in your local

  • Once the download is complete on your local, two files will be downloaded: one with instructions and the other containing the actual plugin.
  • Check for the file named MirabelPlugins_ID
    • NOTE: This is the actual plugin installer.

Step 4: Install the Plugin by double clicking on the file with the extension “.CCX”

  • This will automatically open Creative Cloud Desktop and begin the installation.

Step 5: Once all the above steps are completed, Launch Adobe InDesign

  • To locate the Plugin in InDesign, go to the Window menu and click on ‘Extensions’ (or ‘Plugins’).
    • The installed plugin will be listed there. Click to activate it.

  • NOTE: If the plugin is not visible, try restarting both Creative Cloud Desktop and InDesign.
